Mum in the 1990s

Footnotes

  • Grandpa owned one horse at this time. He would later own many more.

  • Grandpa named the racehorse 現代福星 as an abbreviation of the phrase ‘現金兜兜代入袋’ (Pocketing cash directly). The English name was based on the branded code on the horse’s butt, which was JE8. Grandpa did not care about the English name. Under normal circumstances, the English name would have been given by Mum & EE. But the arrival of the horse was rushed, so Grandpa just randomly gave it its English name.

  • The photos taken in Australia were from a trip with Mum, Grandma, Grandpa and 姨太婆 in March 1990. One of the stops were Burswood.
