  • Grandpa bought his first racehorse in 1992. Grandpa named the racehorse 現代福星 as an abbreviation of the phrase ‘現金兜兜代入袋’ (Pocketing cash directly). The English name was based on the branded code on the horse’s butt, which was JE8. Grandpa did not care about the English name. Under normal circumstances, the English name would have been given by Mum & EE. But the arrival of the horse was rushed, so Grandpa just randomly gave it its English name.

  • The photos from Australia were taken during a trip with Mum, Grandma, Grandpa and 姨太婆 in March 1990.

  • The photos from Europe (e.g. Paris) were taken during a tour of the continent with EE, Mi Por, 表姨媽, Aunt Mun Yee, Mi Gung, Yee-chan (cousin), Ho-kun (cousin), 表姨公 (the cousin’s dad/ Grandma’s cousin), 表姨婆's Godmother.

  • The photos from Japan were taken during a trip with Grandma & 姨太婆 where they also visited EE while she was studying Japanese (Nihongo) in Tokyo. They joined the tour by Morning Star, and would visit Ikebukuro as one of the stops. EE went to school in Ikebukuro, at Sunshine City Building.

  • Only Grandpa gambles excessively in our family. Otherwise, the only level of gambling we do is poker or mahjong during Chinese New Year at home. After Charlotte was born, we started playing Cluedo and other boardgames without any money involvement.

  • Family Tree to be illustrated soon.
