Collecting and Cataloguing as Practice
Publicly accessible libraries are sacred, especially in climates of increasing censorship, decreasing funding in the arts, and disappearing third spaces. To be able to work in visual arts & culture reference libraries since 2018 has been a privilege. From Asia Art Archive’s library to the Stuart Hall Library, my work includes the cataloguing of exhibition catalogues, artist books, artist monographs, zines, essay and theory books, journals; indexing journal articles; helping users and visitors find information for their own projects and research; and highlighting the collections through reading lists, social media posts, talks, and physical showcases.
