LeMoon & Sunny Side Up
(2021)
A gift to Asia Art Archive, Sunny Side Up and LeMoon are inspired by the weekly trips I took as a child with my mum and aunt to a neighbourhood wet market. This diptych depicts whimsical dreamscapes that record the food items we would purchase at different times of the day.
This pair of paintings were auctioned at Asia Art Archive’s fundraiser in 2021 and were presented from 20–23 October 2021 at Christie's Hong Kong. The pair was ultimately sold for $250,000 HKD.
The paintings were painted with watercolour and acrylic on paper, and measured at 32 x 24 cm (each).
